FAITH CONNECTION FOR TODAY

As I mentioned in last post it is important to practice gratitude regardless of whether things are going our way or not. As we learn in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

Regularly acknowledging and appreciating the good things in our lives can lead to a multitude of benefits:

What are those benefits?

The first one that I think is an Increased Happiness

Taking note of what you're thankful for gives you a more positive outlook on life, thus increasing overall happiness.

So often we tend so focus on the bad circumstances or only on the big things that we can be grateful for. When the truth there are so many, little things we take for granted each and everyday that we can be grateful for!

Waking up, another day to which we can be with our loves ones or that they are still with us, a job to head out too, a vehicle we can use to get there on and on the list that we can be thankful for giving us a more positive outlook at our lives and the happiness we can enjoy.

I had the privilege of going on mission trips to Guatemala and to Peru twice and go into the remote village in each country and share Jesus Christ with the people.

In the bigger city, they had most of the privilege we have here for our comfort, but in the village in the mountain area, more remote they didn't have running water in there homes, no bathroom like our but outdoor with some only poles a cloth around them and wooden build box with a hole in it as the toilet.

Churches with dirt floors, wooden benches no padding no air, no heat etc...BUT what was clearly noticeable was the happiness or rather I should say joy in the hearts of the people! It was not based on accumulation of material wealth but on relationship wealth with families and most importantly in Jesus Christ!

Regularly acknowledging and appreciating the good things in our lives can lead to a multitude of happiness, joy in our giving of gratitude!

Make a FAITH CONNECTION with gratitude of Thanksgiving with Jesus Christ and the everyday blessings!
